Edge Finishes
Flat Polished
Our most popular type of edgework is the flat polished edge. A flat-polished edge offers a sleek, modern finished appearance. Flat polish is mostly used where the glass edges are exposed, such as in shower enclosures, mirrors, railings, shelves, tabletops, or in any other type of frameless application.
Seamed Edges
A seamed edge has been sanded and it may be rough, slightly chipped and jagged, but it will not be sharp. It is the most economical edge but it's only recommended if the edges will be completely covered. For Glass Protector Tops, table tops, shelves, or anywhere the edge will be seen, only polished edges should be ordered.
Glass Types
Clear Glass vs Ultra Clear Glass
Ultra Clear low iron glasses contain approximately one quarter of the iron content of standard clear float glass, providing an ultra clear glass that is crystal clear in appearance. Ultra Clear glass is ideal in decorative and furniture applications, showcases, showers, shop fronts and toughened glass entries.
Grey Glass
Grey Glass or smoked glass in lay terms; is a tinted soda lime glass that is primarily used to restrict or reduce light transmission (transfer) as well as for decorative applications. Generally used for windows, grey glass can be used to prevent fading of furnishings, carpeting, clothing, artwork, etc. It is also used to add a level of privacy. Grey glass is suitable for commercial and home use.
Bronze Glass
Bronze glass can be used anywhere you want to bring a high-style look to your home. Our bronze glass is a coppery-tinted glass with a little bit of glare reflectance. This uniquely-tinted glass is suitable for use anywhere standard glass is used.
Acid Etch Glass
Acid-etched glass refers to annealed glass that has been treated with hydrofluoric acid to give its surface a frosted look. Entire sheets of glass can be acid-etched or small sections can be treated to add specific designs.
